When I was small, I never saw my daddy holding me in his arms. He never come to pick me up from my school. We never had meals together. I am not angry with him rather I am proud to say that he is an Army Officer. He stay with guns, bullets and bombs in his hand, protecting our Mother India. Whenever he leave the house for war, his expression always shows that he is very proud and confident that his home will never be in danger because his wife will secure everything. She is an army in my home and rest members will definitely be safe. She miss my daddy when I am not around, so that I never be sad. She never felt that she is alone. She always have faith that Whatever will be the case, daddy will be back and hug us. She taught me self defense with alphabets. She is the leader in my palace same as daddy in border. She sits near the door for the postman to bring daddy's letter. She reads the letter for me and eventually tears speak more. Her prayers for daddy to be alright and a tough and bold attitude for us. She always says me that we should be strong enough to hear every news come to us about daddy whether good or bad.
That one war was so terrible, which destroyed everything in the border line. Even ashes were mixed with sand. We were having our breakfast in the morning when the news reporter told that many army officers are killed, some are missing and rest are injured badly in the attack. I only saw one thing that she cried for the first time in front of me, still folding hands for good result. There was no letters, no calls, no news in couple of days regarding daddy, only believe made us alive everyday.
After 12-15 days, in the door we saw two officers standing and saluting. They were holding luggage of daddy but we couldn't find him with them. They were about to speak and my Mom started crying as she understood what they wanted to say. Then the ambassador arrive and the door opens, seeing daddy, made us more happy than surprise. With a huge relief, We had a family hug after long time. The only thing daddy says to my mom is "YOU will always be BEHIND ME, My Lady Army".
Festivals and Seasons doesn't matter, what important for them is to protect our Nation till last breath of life. There is always an Army behind every Army officers who protect the family members and made them hard. If you see them in some place, do respect them because she is the one who handles the army house and also nourish her Child to become another army officer after her husband. Because of them, we are safely enjoying with our family and celebrating special occasions. They deserve salute with respect.
