"he said that tomorrow is the delivery date, everything will be fine, tell your wife not to get panic and nervous."
"no... no... I'm not nervous......", she replied crossing her fingers and biting her nails.
"you remember sweetheart, you told me that you have already decided the name of our children. It's the time now, tell me naah, what is that?"
"oh! when I'll have my two babies, one sleeping on my arms and the other, you, standing beside, I'll announce that name officially."
And then, not only girls have the cutest puppy face to convince the point but some boys also have that feature. Trust me, he looked too cute while doing it that she ultimately convinced.
"Okay Okay! Stop doing that!", she smiled and continued, "I'll tell you but promise me you won't steal that name for your children..." And both laughed at such a stupid joke.
"Tell Naah baby!"
"Promise me that you will not laugh and this will be their nicknames which only their parents will call..."
Taking a deep breath and a blushed smile, she said,
"Okay so the name for baby girl is "parii" and baby boy is "parr"..." And looked at him for a good reaction after hearing it.
But yes, as you are laughing, he laughed holding his stomach after this. She got disappointed as she already warned him not to laugh at all. Looking at her face, he was sorry but couldn't control to stop his laugh again.
"Okay! No! Seriously! Do you really want these names? I mean, 'pari' is kinda good but 'parr' this sounds like any old cartoon character making his position at today's generation of Avengers and Iron Man!" And he laughed out loud again.
"See I told you! you won't like it and will make fun of me... How could you do that... I'm not talking with you... Go sleep now...!!" She gets irritated and was about to sleep at the other corner of the bed, then he holds her hand and kissed on her palm.
"Okay Sorry, dear! You know naah, I love teasing you at every point... So jokes apart, why did you want these names only, I think you would have thought of something amazing fact hidden behind these names, right!?" and here comes a husband's role after teasing her like a best friend. He holds her close and kissed her forehead and that's what she loves about his behaviour, and of course, any girl would blush after that.
"Parii means Princess, we'll keep her as the princess of this century, she'll be the warrior of her tough life and queen of her personal life. So the name goes like this... And a baby boy name will be 'Parr' which means Wings, we'll keep him like he'll build the strongest and beautiful wings around her sister and us, he'll be the fighter for wrongdoings and will the king of his own kingdom. The fighter will protect the warrior through his strongest wings and the warrior will walk with the fighter at the toughest road of their life. That's why, parii, the sweetest name with the toughest body, and parr, the unique name with the strongest wings. Now tell me, how's it?"
And, now that moment, he kept silent for few minutes, after she urged, he started with "I'm speechless why so beautiful" and then he continued all the things he loved about the names, about how they'll handle their new life with babies, but the most adorable thing was one child will be born and the other will be adopted as they were expecting a single child. Like if tomorrow, God gives a baby boy then they'll adopt a baby girl or vice-versa. After he finishes, noticed she's already sleeping under the warmness of his arms.
---Next Morning---
The doctor happily arrived after delivery and found him sitting and waiting for positive results. "Congratulations husband, you have the twins, one boy and one girl. You can meet your wife after she's stable, she's tired and lost so much strength, she's too weak now and creating little problem while breathing, we are trying not to have a severe heart attack, but don't worry, that's the rare possibility." Doc said in a humble tone.
----30 years later----
Parii, an IAS officer, and Parr, an Indian lieutenant colonel made the father and late mother proud.
